*Arthur is currently in foster care awaiting his forever home. He is settling in well so far and has really started to come out of his shell!*

Looking for a relaxed, soft, gentle and quirky greyhound who will never pull on lead, jump on you or need lots of walks, and who will be more than happy to quietly and politely chill inside with you all day? Then our Arthur is your man.

Arthur is a special young man who is almost 2 years old. Arthur has been in our foster care program previously and did very well. While he did take time to warm up, he was a completely different dog in the home! We did learn that Arthur prefers to be a single dog, but we understand that. Why wouldn't you want all the attention when you are as handsome as he is? On top of this, Arthur does not need a very large backyard to be happy (however a backyard is a plus), and is good with respectful older children.

Arthur knows all about what it means to be a pet, and he is excited to show you his true colours. The transition from GAP to your home will be very easy with Arthur compared to other greyhounds. He has already learnt how to be your new best friend due to his extensive foster care period. He already knows how to fit into family life, whether that be walks by the beach, or laying on a bed in the living room with his family. You won’t even have to worry if you leave him on his own in the backyard while you are out as he is happy to be alone all day. When inside, Arthur will show you love by coming up to you and standing quietly next to you (this is his way of politely asking for attention).

Arthur can seem subdued and aloof compared to other greyhounds – however once he has warmed up to you, he will greet you with his signature trot, wagging tail and big happy smile in the mornings or when you get home from work. Once he knows you are his person and that he has his forever home, he will show you his true self. Arthur has shown trouble eating and can have a low appetite, but we have learnt Arthur prefers a denta stick or a treat prior to meals to stimulate his appetite.

While Arthur has been with us he has been receiving some hydrotherapy sessions to build up his muscles in his back legs.

Arthur is definitely a team favourite at GAP Western Sydney, and Arthur is available now on a foster to adopt basis from our Western Sydney site.
