Bully

adopted

*FOSTER CARE UPDATE* “Buddy (also known as Bully) has learnt so much in his time with us. His confidence has skyrocketed! He is no longer head shy and loves pats. His character has changed hugely. He’s very good when inside alone, on hot days we’ve left him inside in the air conditioning, even when left many hours there’s not been any destruction. He is a very gentle dog. He has excellent manners on the lead, he doesn’t pull and enjoys a walking pace.

We’ve seen that he seems to be great with children, we have a few friends that have brought their kids around, he generally just leaves them alone. He has learnt “stop” and will do so on command before crossing a road when we go for a walk on lead. To move back to open a gate he is on the other side of he has learnt “back” and will back up for you on command. He doesn’t respond well to any kind of intense learning which I understand is pretty normal for a greyhound. When trying to teach him new commands using treats (hopefully working on “lay” next) if he feels challenged he will just give up and walk away, rather than keep trying to work for the treat.”

He is currently excelling in his foster home in Western Sydney.
