Footy

adopted

FOSTER CARER UPDATE: Footy has been living in a unit/apartment (with a courtyard attached) for the past 8-9 weeks and is doing exceptionally well once settled. Her foster carers adore her! They are home more often than not but they feel as though she could cope for a few short hours on her own (max about 5), just not extended as she is not used to it. Footy has explored the beach, quite street walks and enjoyed being a pet. She is ready to find her permanent home and really settle into retirement.

Please contact us to meet her today with her foster carers. They are located in North Western Sydney.

“To best describe Footy: she is a perfect home-dog. Potty-trained, no issues with being left at home alone, no jumping onto beds, no destroying of furniture. As long as she has her own space to sleep, she is fine. Footy loves her sleep, especially on anything soft. Quite often you will hear her snoring in the other room, or making funny noises from dreaming.

Personality wise, Footy is a lovely pooch who is affectionate, loves to roll around and seek cuddles from you. It’s not uncommon to walk into the living room and see her on your couch with all four legs up in the air, and a grin on her face. She loves a good belly rub – pat her for long enough and she will fall asleep in your arms.

Her interaction with other dogs is excellent – whenever she meets others, she will get very excited, wag her tail and do a round of sniffing before happily strolling off when called to. There have been incidents with small yappy dogs having a go at her, but Footy showed maturity to walk away.”

This little lady is ready to kick up her heels in a home! Foot is one fine girl who isn’t going to let one less toe stop her from dancing around with her toys. This playful 4yr old girl loves nothing more than playing with her toys and taking them to bed, well, maybe cheese might win her over. While she does enjoy her games, Foot isn’t known for her stamina, so often conks out after a couple of zoomies- she’s no marathoner and prefers her walks on the shorter side. Foot copes very well on her own so could easily suit a family with full time workers. We believe that she would also do well in a home with older children. While perfectly mannered in passing, Foot can be a little awkward in her social signalling with other dogs- so she would do best as a single dog in a household. Even though she isn’t a great conversationalist with other dogs, she certainly is warm to the humans in her life and will often sidle up to you for a nice back scratch. If your home feels like an empty shoe, then we have the Foot for you! Foot is currently in a foster home in the Ryde area. Please get in touch if you think this girl would do well in your home!
