*Julie is in foster care in Sydney and is available for adoption* Update from foster:
"She is really suitable for full time workers. I set her up with her bed and her favourite toys and she's good to go for the day. I will often leave her a pig's ear and sometimes hide another one in the garden for her to discover later. She is EXTRAORDINARILY active. She enjoys longer walks - an hour, ideally, so during the week I think maybe she'd benefit from two walks a day (or someone who can come home to walk her).
She is probably the friendliest greyhound I've ever met. She came into the office last week and she did not stop going round and round the desks for pats and everyone was obsessed with her. She just really loves people.
I think she'd suit an active home that has a lot of time for her. While she's totally fine to be by herself during the day, she needs a longer walk to tire her out and then a snuggle in the evening on the couch."
Julie is a perfect match for full time workers and must have an owner with an active lifestyle. Julie would suit a home with another greyhound or large breed dog as she has gotten along with greyhounds previously at the adoption centre but she has shown she is perfectly happy as the only pet while in foster. She requires a small yard/townhouse or backyard, and an owner/family with no little kids. Older children are OK if they have greyhound experience.
As mentioned, she would thrive in a dog friendly office environment or even to live close to the city or CBD surrounding suburbs as she is currently in foster in Newtown Sydney and has experienced the hustle and bustle of city life with no issues.
*Julie is available to adopt from our Western Sydney Adoption facility, where you will get the unique opportunity to hand over/meet her foster carers and get in depth information from their experiences looking after her.
