Quirky Loui has a super power: he makes people smile with his infectious enthusiasm for life. If you ever thought greyhounds are maybe too shy or too ‘boring’ for you, Loui is your dog! That said, Loui will do best in a home that can provide him with routine and a mostly calm environment. A backyard yard and potentially another, laid back medium to large dog to show him the ropes of being a pet would be ideal.

A suburban neighbourhood or semi rural/rural environment would be great as he is sometimes barks in excitement of meeting other dogs, so whilst he has been fostered in the Inner West of Sydney, a quieter area without a high population of dogs out and about would be preferable. Loui will require regular good walks or exercise. In his foster home, Loui has come a very long way in learning to control his excitement, learned even a few basic commands and works well with praise and treats.

He would do best with someone with dog experience who is willing to be calm and consistent in ironing out a last few manner kinks. Once in a routine, Loui can stay home alone (with outdoor access) for six or seven hours without trouble and is then ready for walks, a few training games and being with his people.

Available now to adopt.
