Mika (pronounced Mee-ka) is a gorgeous blue, mature lady. This little lady has had quite the big adjustment from her racing days in a kennel environment, into a backyard with her maltese friend to assist her in transitioning into pet life, now into GAP HQ looking for a place to finally call her own.
Whilst with her former owner/trainer, she had a great foundation by being exposed to household noises (which now don’t bother her) along with hanging in the backyard with a small dog (maltese cross). Mika needs a canine companion along with someone home more often than not as this is what she has gotten used to over time. Mike does enjoy hanging out inside with you, but also likes to pull up a spot in the shade of a tree while you potter around outside. We believe she may be able to live with respectful children due to her gentle calm nature which is reflected through her leash manners also and doesn’t mind a spin in the car. Mika is NOT cat tolerant.
Available now, foster to adopt, Central Coast facility by appointment only.
