PARKIE
Age: 2 years 8 months | Sex: Male
Microchip: 956000008225127
Location: Western Sydney (Londonderry)
Parkie has spent a few months in foster care and is more than ready to be your new best friend! Parkie is a true family man - great with kids, other greyhounds and has been exposed to lots of the big wide world in foster.

Parkie would love to be the favourite member of your family. He is pretty sure he is FAMOUS and that the world revolves around him. He is exuberant, charming and handsome with a cheeky personality. He has become resilient during his time in foster care and would love to show you all the things he has learnt from his time in foster. Here are some message from his foster carers:

"He is very curious about everything, and also very loving and affectionate. He is very curious about the outside world. He has been on a busy street, and wasn't too bothered by the cars. He's a beautiful boy and I definitely think someone will fall in love with his playful, affectionate nature."

"Parkie has been great with meeting children and loves a pat from anyone he can get it from. He has met lots of dogs along our walk and is very good with them but he doesn’t like them to get jumpy in his face. Basically if he is getting pats and love from humans just about anything could go on around him and he wouldn’t care or know. He would be well suited with a family where he can get lots of love from as many people he can."

"Thank you for lending Parkie to us. He has definitely livened up this household. Parkie is a very energetic dog with lots of energy to burn. Parkie loves nothing better than to cuddle up with the other greyhound for a nap. Parkie does really well with the other greyhound being with him when we have to go out. He definitely is a character. We believe Parkie needs a family with older children or very active couples/single families. He would definitely not suit a more relaxed older couple/single or family with little children as he is a bundle of energy. He is very friendly and loves other dogs but would need to find a match in energy."

Parkie is here to fasten' himself up and vrooom' straight into your home!

This boy is certainly a heart throb for the ladies with his charming smile. Once he is out in the real world, there will be no stoppin' him!

Parkie would suit a home with children providing they have dog/greyhound experience. Parkie has lived with kids in foster care previously.

If you haven't already noticed, Parkie is a very happy boy that is full of beans and life. He has enjoyed spending time with other greyhounds at GAP and wouldn't mind a home with another medium to large canine companion for company.

He has also lived in foster with a male greyhound and a female greyhound. Parkie doesn't mind spending shorter periods on his own and would suit a family where someone is home more often than not so he can soak up the attention that he deserves - perhaps you work from home, retired or stay at home more often than not, but also enjoy staying active and going on walks - Parkie would be your perfect match.

Due to Parkie's go-go personality, a backyard for play time to keep Parkie mentally enriched would suit him best. Parkie likes meeting other doggies out on walks and has a very happy and rushed hello to other breeds, he is learning how to be a bit more calmer with his interactions. He would benefit from a harness for walkies as he is very forward moving when going for his walks but settles into a good rhythm.

If you feel Parkie sounds like the fun guy for you, contact our Western Sydney facility to meet him!
