FOSTER CARER UPDATE: Currently living in Tamworth with a big foster brother (Weimaraner).
“Ruby is doing great. She has come out of her shell much more. She got quiet after the initial day or so and now her full personality is really coming out. She’s very silly like our June was and is super affectionate. loving her walks but she tires quite quickly after a run around and loves playing with Bentley. We have walked her down the Main Street and she was a perfect canine citizen. No concerns there. She’s walking well on leash too.
She’s great at being handled.
She’s been great in her kennel and has been excellent at housetraining.
She’s a delight!”

Not all Ruby’s are red, some are brindle! This gem of a dog is energetic, active and ready to zoom. She will definitely need a backyard with some toys to chase around and a calm shell pool to splash in those hot summer days. This Ruby girl has plenty of personality for you to fall in love with which will come out day by day. After a zoom she will come over to you for a pat and leeeeeean right into you. Ruby enthusiastically says ‘hello’ to the dogs she has met with us with a good bottom sniff and can easily be called away. As she is quite playful, Ruby would definitely enjoy a home with a doggie playmate but also copes well on her own for moderate periods. If she is a single dog, an occasional play date with playful med/lrg doggie pals (after a proper introduction) wouldn’t go astray! An already active family would be great for Ruby, as she was energy to burn. She’d best suit a home with older children due to her fast zooms and the possibility of accidently knocking them over/jumping. She is great when travelling in a comfortable spot and will need a harness for walking due to her eagerness to explore!
She is available to meet by appointment only at our Central Cast facility.
