Update: Scarlett entered her loving foster home a few weeks ago and has found a new favourite toy, Bruce the Shark! Pic attached. She’s mastering pet life with ease and taken to apartment living in style. She enjoys going to the beach for a gentle walk each day and meeting other Greyhounds who come up to say G’day and congratulate her on the retired racer lifestyle too. Scarlett will do best in a home with women as she can be a little stand-offish with men initially.

Ohhhh, Scarlett! You are cute as a button!!
Scarlett is a sleek black girl who can be a little timid in strange environments but once she warms up, she’s the first to sniff out a treat and wag her tail for a game of fetch. She hasn’t been with us all that long, but we see her self esteem growing everyday and she’s loving life now at the Western Sydney facility.

She’s a gentle, sensible girl who just loves her rope toy and even has a very cute trick of picking up her feed bowl and bringing it over when she’s finished with it. The moment she hears the hose being turned on to fill up the clam shell, she races over and jumps straight in! She’s definitely a water baby even on a Winter morning.
Scarlett will appreciate a home as the only dog in the house hold where she can be spoilt with endless toys and treats. She copes good on her own for short periods, so a part time worker would suit her.

She’ll need a backyard to play with her toys in and a soft bed to snuggle up on. We’d prefer she went to new owners who lived in a quiet suburb with no children to continue to let her confidence shine through.

Scarlett has recently gone into a foster home; updates will be provided shortly.
