Steer has slotted into pet life with his foster carer so well. She reports that he is calm and laid back, copes well with periods alone – so far in excess of 4 hears alone with no concerns at all. He enjoys the car, loves people and has been polite meeting children. He loves his food but isn’t too fussed on toys just yet.
Steer has good manners with other dogs but prefers the independent route – he will sometimes have a very quick short growl if dogs get up in his face but recovers quickly with no escalation. We are keeping his interactions brief and he is improving all the time. A home alone or with a calm (or older) female dog may work for him.
Steer would do well in a calm relaxed home, part time or full time workers, although he does love people and his foster carers are about often. A quiet neighbourhood where he doesn’t have to contest with lots of other dogs, rather calm street and park walks would suffice for this gentle boy. A home with a backyard – it doesn’t have to be big – would be ideal.
Available now, foster to adopt.
