I am described as faithful, loving, and loyal. My charming personality will win my new family over straight away. I am a bit older so settled and would love an indoor/outdoor lounge to spend my days laying in front of the tv or the in sun. I would still like to go for a walk every now and then and might do a zoom or tow in the yard.
Ebbi is a beautiful affectionate girl who loves cuddles and is looking for someone who is looking for company to share her days with. Some of her daily activities include playing with her toys, laying around the yard, having a bath and dipping her feet in a paddle pool that you are going to buy for her....
Ebbi would be ideal for a retired couple or someone who is home regularly and is a quiet and relaxed lady she is best suited as an only pet as she really doesn't think she needs to share you - or your toast with anyone else. No pocket pets of cats please and she would love a full sized yard all of her own
Don’t let his name fool you this guy likes to move! Tank is an active boy who likes to run so an active person is essential. Ideally he would be perfect for someone who likes to kick the day off with a power walk or small jog before they head off to work
Being a strong Lad, Tank will need someone who has previous big dog experience and someone who understands that he will need a tad of work which will pay off dividends in time.
Starc is an active boy who likes to stay fit, he requires a home that is relatively active that can nurture that and have the ability to walk him as he can be a bit strong on he lead. That will change with time invested in him and you'll have a cracker of a dog in no time. Starc is an inquisitive boy who’ll enjoy exploring a backyard and discover all the wonderful things on offer but also loves to cuddle up and enjoy hanging out with you. Due to his nature, he will require a full size yard and would prefer to be the only pet and says no thanks to pocket pets and cats.
+++ This photo is not him however he looks very similar. We are waiting for his photos.
If it’s character you’re after then this big gorgeous boy is your man! Arnold is an outgoing lad who enjoys being outdoors and enjoys the sunshine. He has been known to be in a world on his owns at times which is why he needs a home with someone who is active and also has a bit of experience. He would be da bomb for someone who gets out for walks am and pm or someone who does Winter sport and like to get fit . He may even out jog you at times!
Arnold would suit a single person or couple that has previous animal experience and is active and enjoys adventures. And lets be honest - he really is a blokey type bloke :)
As his name suggests this guy loves to fly around his yard but soon settles after a while and just enjoys life. Jet enjoys pats and being affectionate with his human companions and if your prepared to take him for a walk in the morning, then he is prepared to sleep in his hammock bed for the rest of the day while your out working. He will take it for the team.
Once you come home be prepared for some greyhound shenanigan's of excitement and be prepared to hear all about his day on your afternoon walk. He is then happy to get into his tucker and chill with you while you scroll through Netflix.
Don't let the grey look fool you, as they say age is only a number! Dale may be 7yrs old but he is just as spritely as in his prime. He loves to run around the yard and play. Enjoys following his companions around the yard and exploring what life has to give. Once he has had his exercise he loves to just laze around in the sun and enjoy life. If you are after an older companion that has lots of life still to live apply and organise a meet!
*Arabella is in a foster home*
Our beautiful little Arabella will look at you with those sooky eyes and win you over with one look!
*Parkie is in foster care*
Parkie Foster Update: "Thank you for lending Parkie to us. He has definitely livened up this household. Parkie is a very energetic dog with lots of energy to burn. Parkie loves nothing better than to cuddle up with the other greyhound for a nap. Parkie does really well with the other greyhound being with him when we have to go out. He definitely is a character. We believe Parkie needs a family with older children or very active couples/single families. He would definitely not suit a more relaxed older couple/single or family with little children as he is a bundle of energy. He is very friendly and loves other dogs but would need to find a match in energy."
Wolf is a stunning large fawn boy who is sweet, kind and has a zest for life. He's super smart and will learn quickly with some rule and boundaries that will be needed initially. A short investment of your time initially will give you a friend for life as he is super affectionate and just wants to be a part of your pack! In no time he will be your shadow and partner in crime.
Due to his energy level, he needs a full size yard he can use to zoom around and chase a ball so no units or townhouses please. Wolf is located in Goulburn and is ready to head off into the sunset now to the right home.
Well who needs a bit of spark to brighten up their day? Millie is young, bright, happy and has a zest for life. She loves to play and zoom around the yard and would benefit from an equally active home. She has been out walking the streets and is fine with other dogs around, however does try to play with them so a home that is able to put some rules and boundaries in place would be ideal for her.
She will make a super best friend to a home with kids over 12 and will spend endless hours joining in their games with them. The only limitations are theirs and her imagination. She would also be fine for a full time working couple as well with time together adjusted that you are not always going to be home. She really is suited to most homes with a full sized backyard so she can zoom around (no units or apartments please). Millie is located in Goulburn and will require an in person meet.
Pickle is in a home with a family with 2 kids.
"Pickle is settling in well, he enjoys walks and is warming up to pet life with every day! He and my boys (aged 11 & 8) get on very well together which is wonderful. He’s very gentle and affectionate with them, and even in a playful state never jumps up on anyone. We would definitely recommend him for a family with kids so long as they’re not scared by his size. "
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! That’s the sound your heart will make when you meet the love of your life, Boomer! Boomer has spent a couple of months in foster care and now that he has mastered many aspects of pet life, he is ready for his forever home.
At 6-years-old, Boomer is a relaxed and quiet boy who would make a great companion for those who want a low maintenance pet. Although Boomer doesn’t mind a short walk, he’s not big on grand adventures or playing with toys, instead he prefers to nap in the sun or snuggle up with his humans suiting homebodies. Boomer is very gentle with people and never pulls on the lead or jumps on you – he just politely nuzzles into you asking for a scratch behind the ears! Boomer doesn’t mind spending a few hours alone during the day provided you live in a nice, quiet neighbourhood and would suit those who work part-time or causal hours. Boomer loves being indoors and is very well behaved in the house and although he would prefer to have a yard to retreat to when he needs to, he doesn’t mind if it is on the smaller side. Boomer prefers people over other dogs and will need a home where he is the only pet of the family so he can take all the love and affection for himself.
Hello, my name is Ramsay. Or Rammy. I'm your future soul mate, and the 'specialest' boy you'll ever know.
I'm just 2 years old but don't worry, I don't act like a silly puppy (well most of the time). I'm very sweet!! I am well accustomed to being indoors and love to have my own fluffy bed where I'll spend most of the day. I love soft toys, pillows and peanut butter... and Kongs... filled with peanut butter!!!
CAN YOU SAY WIGGLY? You should see the way Zac’s bottom and tail are always wiggling at super speed! This happy guy is just always so excited to see people that he can’t contain his body!
Wiggly Zac is just 3 years old and is the perfect mixture of young, playful, calm, and collected. He is often seen snoozing happily in the sunshine and copes quite well on his own for moderate hours.
Tonight, on Ripley's Believe It Or Not......
A strange animal lurks in the little coastal town of Wyee. A swift and spindling black creature that the locals claim to have sighted stealing toys and taking them back to it's den. Is this another case of the Loch Ness Monster? Could it be related to the Abominable Snowman?
Foster update! "Felix is doing fantastically — we honestly could not have expected to foster a more beautiful dog. Felix is a gentle giant. His temperament is very relaxed and sweet, while also being playful and exceptionally curious of the world around him. Felix is incredibly well behaved and is already house trained! He is easy to read and always tells us what he needs. He loves affection and will even ask for you for a pet while seated on his bed. He is comfortable being left alone overnight and barely makes any sounds in the home. We hope this helps with finding him a suitable home!"
Gather round folks, grab a cuppa. I'm going to tell you a fable.
Once upon a time, there was a little black puppy. She was tiny and fuzzy and cute. Her grandparents were her best friends and her idols. She knew right from when she was young, that she wanted to skip the whole "grow up and get a job" thing and go straight into being a retiree like Nan and Pop. Unfortunately for Fable, she couldn't skip growing up.
Had me a blast
An Australian Classic, the Pavlova! Sweet and a total crowd pleaser!
Pavlova would suit full time workers as she's content to be in the backyard by herself for the day. A small backyard/townhouse size backyard would suit Pavlova as she doesn't run around much in the yard, prefers to lay about in the sun on the grass. As long as she has some outdoor access with a grass patch she is happy.
*Cupcake is currently in foster care - updates to come soon!*
Cupcake the greyhound Recipe:
Like the Roman god himself, Neptune is a tall, strong man with a fiery presence. His energy and larger than life personality light up any room he is in. This incredible boy has a lot of love to give and will make the perfect companion for a special family.

Hey guys! The name is Hypo, BUT i am far from the crazy dog you may have in you mind. They call me "Bat Ears" here at GAP. My ears are so tall and pointy, this is when i activate my radar power and can hear everything! I'm quite a playful boy and love food but i calm very quickly and lay down in the shade for a looong nap. I don't mind being an only doggo and I'm happy to spend long hours on my own. I'm a good boy when meeting my canine friends and a very good boy when walking on my lead. The hoomans here say that they think i could go home with children that are a littler older (10yo) and used to larger dogs like me. I would love a backyard for play time and naps, If there is another doggo friend i would love to meet them to see if we like each other too! Contact the Wyee facility today to enquire about me!
You may have seen topaz in its usual blue or yellow colour, but what we have here is the rarest colour of all. This shiny, glamorous girl is a very special black Topaz sure to be your new favourite accessory.
Say hello to our adorable little Fig!
At just 2-years-old, stunning girl Fig can’t wait to meet her forever family! She is a very affectionate and gentle girl and has mastered the art of puppy dog eyes! Fig is comfortable spending time by herself during the day making her suitable for full-time workers. She gets on well with other medium/large dogs and older kids are also fine by her. Fig is still getting used to spending time indoors, but is learning to love it more and more! She is hoping her new owner has a backyard for her to retreat to when she needs a break or wants to take a nap on the grass in the sunshine. Fig can be a little enthusiastic about her walkies, however she walks well on a harness.

Captain Jack is my name and finding treasures is my game! Toys and treats? I'm there!!
Admit it. I'm the prettiest Greyhound you have ever seen.
My name is Violet, and I am the goodest of girls. I love to have a cuddle, and play with my family. I currently live with three foxies and other elegant greyhounds like me! I have good doggie manners! I am also very gentle with children and I have some chickens at the house I live at now, and I think they are pretty boring so I ignore them!
Hi! My name is Fern. I am the gentlest of girls and have been told I'm a good calm girl! I live with my humans at the moment and some of them a very small humans, so i am very gentle with the small humans!. I am very good at walkies.
I like to spend my days lazing around in my garden or going on adventures. I do not know what a cat is, as I have never seen one. I am very affectionate and love to cuddle. I am polite to chickens when they are in their own pen! I am also friends with the little dogs I live with!
This outgoing girl certainly isn’t a nervous Nellie! Our Nellie loves all people she meets and is best known for giving her trademark hugs!
At just 2-years-old, sweet little Nellie can’t wait to meet her forever family and shower them with love every day! Her enthusiasm for life makes her best suited to homes without young children, but she would happily enjoy the company of older kids or teens. Nellie is friendly and social with other medium/large dogs and would happily share her new home with one. If you would prefer her to be the only canine of the family, she would best suit those who work part-time or casual hours maximum. Nellie is well behaved in the house and is hoping her new family will let her spend time indoors and be a part of the family activities. She has great lead manners and would love to keep you in shape by encouraging you to go for a short daily stroll.
When there’s only minutes to go and you’re down on your luck, who can you always count on to score the crucial points and make you a winner? Fittler of course! With his incredible ability to hang onto the ball and tricky sidestep, he’ll be running at full speed into your life in no time.
Fittler is a young, energetic boy with a big heart and an undeniable athletic ability. He loves to play in the yard, whether it be a play of the ball, a game of chip and chase or testing his catching skills under the high ball. Spending most of his life on the field, he would benefit from having outdoor space to play, zoom and sleep in. He just loves the way the soft grass feels on his bare feet! He has gotten along with the other greyhounds he has met here, however he can be a bit of a larrikin so will need a patient and tolerant roommate to keep him in line. On his own he can settle for a few hours, however could be left for the entire day with a friend to keep him company. Fittler is very human social and loves to be in the limelight. He gains the attention of humans by leaning against them and staring into their eyes, ensuring you give him lots of ear scratches and pats. Due to his sweet and playful nature he would be suitable to a home with older children who can respect his space and spend lots of time playing with him.
Could Brian be your family guy?
Have you been looking for that perfect addition to your family? Well here she is.
Meet Becca! A sweet older lady who enjoys spending time with her family indoors, Becca is looking for a home where she can get lots of yummy food and have a nice big bed waiting for her to snooze the day away on. Becca is a very gentle girl who has lived with young children before so if her new family had young humans, she wouldn't mind at all. While she loves her people, she is ok to be left alone for a few hours alone, meaning if you work part time, she's ok to occupy herself. She enjoys being inside so much that she wouldn't mind living in an apartment, but she would prefer one on the ground floor or with a lift so she doesn't need to tackle those pesky stairs.
Where there's a WILLA there's a way!
This gorgeous city girl is currently in our foster program, living the high life. Willa loves nothing more than going out for a walk around the harbour or even a nice quiet park where she can sniff to her hearts content. She is a social butterfly and would prefer her humans to be home more often than not. Someone who works from home or casually would be best to make sure she gets the attention she craves. If you have a medium/large canine at home already, she may be ok to spend longer times without her humans, so if you are looking for a friend for your pooch, let's organise a meet and greet!
And JIMBO was his name O! You will be yelling bingo when you adopt this beautiful boy.
Jimbo is a handsome young fellow just looking for a home all of his own. While he can be a little shy at first, once he warms up he will be your best mate! Jimbo doesn't mind being home while you are out buying him more treats, or toys, or going to that work thing we humans are always talking about. He can settle by himself but also doesn't mind having another playful and tolerant medium/large canine companion around.
