Enrichment Volunteer Role - Hands-on Greyhound care (Sydney)
Help prepare Greyhounds for life as beloved pets by:
Walking and playing with them.
Building their confidence through gentle socialisation.
Providing fun enrichment games and activities.
Helping with general Greyhound husbandry and supporting adoption appointments.
Time commitment: 1–3 hours a week, flexible shifts, Monday to Saturday between 9am to 3pm. Full Training and ongoing support provided
Community engagement Volunteer Role - Events & Outreach (Across NSW)
Be the friendly face of GAP NSW at adoption events and community activities
Chat with families about Greyhound adoption.
Explain why Greyhounds are the perfect family pet.
Support adoption events and outreach programs.
Share your love for Greyhounds with the public.
Perfect for: Friendly communicators who love meeting new people. Full Training provided: We’ll give you the tools and confidence to succeed. Time commitment: Up to 5 hours (maximum) once a month - as per our adoption and community events schedule.
Adoption Administration Volunteer Role - Work from home
Be the first point of contact for potential adopters, and make an immediate impact.
Chat with applicants to understand their lifestyle and needs.
Identify suitable greyhounds that match each family.
Liase with our team across NSW to arrange the next steps for each applicant.
Support the administration team with website updates, and the processing of paperwork for successful adoptions.
Perfect for: Friendly communicators, who have some spare time in the evening and weekends. Full Training provided: We’ll give you everything you need including step-by-step guides. Time commitment: 1 to 3 hours, when you are available.
