TODAY'S ADOPTION HEROES

ON-HOLD
BIG RON
Age: 4 years 1 month | Sex: Male

And in this corner, weighing 35kg and as handsome as can be- HEEEERREEESSS BIG RONNNNNNNNN!!

So, Big Ron isn't quite the scary wrestler. In fact, he is one of the most sensitive and kind souls we currently have in care. He's tall, dark & handsome and is so smoochey! Big Ron came out of his shell quite fast with us and we feel a home away from the busy suburbs will benefit him. He loves treats which will help with guidance and positive reinforcement in the home. He wouldn't mind living with full time workers if he had another med/lrg canine friend otherwise would enjoy someone home more often than not. Quiet older children would be best while he finds his confidence within his new home. Once he gets to know you he is a very lovely smooch that will never leave your side. With size comes his long legs that gently glide alongside you on walks, you would hardly know he is on the end of the lead!

AVAILABLE
NORBIT
Age: 3 years 4 months | Sex: Male

Just one look at sweet Norbit’s puppy dog eyes and floppy ears and you will fall in love!

3-year-old Norbit is a vibrant and playful boy best known for his adorable little happy hops that he does when he sees you in the morning! He loves his toys and will entertain himself tossing around his toys or gathering items on his bed for later. He loves to be stimulated with enrichment activities and will happily participate in training sessions if there are some tasty treats involved! Norbit is happy hanging out in the sunshine and playing with his toys for a few hours alone during the day, making him suitable for part-time/casual workers. He is happy to share his home with older kids and wouldn’t mind a medium/large canine brother or sister pending a meet and greet first. Norbit would love a backyard to call his own and would do best in a quieter neighbourhood without too much hustle and bustle going on beyond the fence. Norbit walks beautifully on loose leash by your side and loves to go for a good walk and sniff all the interesting smells.

ADOPTED
PIPER
Age: 3 years 5 months | Sex: Female

Pretty Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers and paired them with her new pawrents!

Piper is a playful girl and adores all humans and treaties! She is showing to cope well on her own and will likely suit full time workers or possibly even enjoy a med/lrg canine friend. Piper may benefit from a harness when walking as she can be a little strong initially but by no means difficult to handle. She is still getting to know smaller breeds of doggos and will need a home that understands to take things slow and continue her socialisation. Piper will likely suit a home with robust children of all ages given they respect her space.

ADOPTED
KELLY
Age: 1 year 10 months | Sex: Female

Kelly, can you handle this? We definitely think you can handle this!

Kelly is a fine little girl that has spent a short time in a home. She would adore another med/lrg canine for company (is currently in a loving friendship with Harley!) and is looking for a home with a yard for some quick zoomies and a place for long nap. As Kelly can have some minor excitement, we feel she would be best in a home with 10yo+ children or possibly younger children that have large dog experience. Kelly enjoys company and would prefer her humans to be around if there is no doggo pal however would be happy with full time workers if she had the company of another pooch.

CLEVELAND
Age: 8 years 5 months | Sex: Male

Are you looking for a best friend? A companion to show you unconditional love? A friend to take on walks, throw toys for in the backyard and then have napping by your side? Well look no further than our handsome man Cleveland!

While he may be an older gentleman, Cleveland still has a zest for life like no other! When he first sees you of a morning Cleveland likes to do his tap dancing routine! He also puts on this special performance when he's waiting for you to clip his lead for a walk. Cleveland loves to go for walks! He can be strong on the lead at first but is happy to be guided by you in the direction you want to walk. Of an afternoon Cleveland and his GAP handler like to go down to the bushy track behind us and watch the birds and trees. Cleveland would make the perfect companion for someone wanting an only dog. He doesn't like to share the attention and is much happier being the only child. Cleveland would prefer a home without children but instead a couple or even a single person. He can settle on his own for a few hours at a time but would prefer not to be left alone all day. A backyard where he can explore, sunbake and play with toys is a must while you're not at home. Cleveland has a lot of love to give and cannot wait to find his forever home!

His ears flip to one side like a super stylish haircut! An incredibly affectionate boy he loves to lean his head into you, gazing deep into your eyes, while you give him his beloved neck scratches. His other favourite pastimes include going for walks (he walks beautifully on lead!) playing with toys and meeting big dog friends. If Goat were to have a backyard he would be happy to spend longer hours on his own, with or without a large breed dog friend. If living in an apartment he would need his family to be home more often than not. In either situation a fluffy, warm bed is a must! Goat loves to meet new people! Come and meet our sweet, calm natured and happy hound, Shevez. He is a sucker for an ear scratch and will have you wrapped around his paws in no time.

Shevez is a laid back kind of dude and is good at keeping himself occupied, so if you work part time or are shift worker then he will fit right in. He is a very affectionate and playful boy and will do almost anything for that sweet spot scratched or to play with his toys. Shevez is the best of both worlds kind of guy, he will love nothing more than to zoom around in his soon to be new backyard, but don’t worry, as soon as he has got his zoomies out or finished his daily walk, he will find the sunniest/comfiest spot to curl up in and sleep the day away. He is also a great pairer here at GAP, so if you have a calm medium – large canine friend then he would love to meet them, this will even help him settle much easier if you are a full time worker. Shevez is a perfect walker on the lead too so you can all enjoy a nice controlled walk together.

Ronnie adores people and would thrive in a home who will include him in family life. He can be a little shy in new situations but doesn’t take long to settle in.
