Amber is 11 years young and every bit the sweetheart you hope for in a senior greyhound. She has completely charmed our team and quickly settle into living in the office here at GAP. If there’s a soft spot in the room and a friendly human nearby, that’s exactly where you’ll find her.

Since joining us, Amber has been spending her days stretched out in our office, peacefully snoozing while staff work around her. She has transitioned beautifully into an indoor routine — no accidents, settles with ease overnight, and remains relaxed when left on her own. She truly understands the art of quiet companionship.

Amber is deeply affectionate in the loveliest, most gentle way. She adores being near her people, enjoys soft pats, and is happiest in calm, steady company. At this stage of her life, she’s not looking for adventure — she’s looking for comfort. A low-key home where she can lounge, nap, and simply be part of the family would be perfect.

Because she’s a mature lady, a ground-floor home or apartment with lift access would be ideal, as daily stairs wouldn’t suit her long-term comfort. She could happily share her home with another relaxed greyhound, but she would prefer to avoid small, busy breeds. Amber could suit a family, provided children understand how to respect a dog’s space and enjoy a gentle, slower-paced companion.
