Coco is a handsome 6-year-old red brindle boy who is looking for a patient and understanding family to help him discover the world at his own pace.

This lovely boy is a gentle soul who walks beautifully on lead, happily staying alongside his person without pulling. He travelled well in the car and settled nicely in his crate, making him a great little traveller.

New environments can be a little overwhelming for Coco. He can be somewhat nervous and flighty, and when unsure, he may freeze rather than knowing what to do. He can be nervous when approached and handled, so he will benefit from a calm home where he isn't rushed and can build confidence through positive experiences.

Coco would love a family who understands that trust takes time. With gentle encouragement, patience and plenty of exposure to everyday places, people and noises, we expect his confidence to continue growing.

He was good around other greyhounds and seemed comfortable in their company. He was more worried when small dogs ran towards him and tried to move away, so introductions to smaller dogs should be managed carefully and at his pace. 

Coco is looking for someone who will be his safe place — a person who will give him time, patience and plenty of reassurance while he learns that the world isn't such a scary place. If you're willing to let this sweet boy come out of his shell in his own time, he could be a very rewarding companion. ❤️
