Emily is a warm, people-focused gal who has been making lovely progress during her time at GAP. She is bright and responsive, quickly picking up new skills and showing a great willingness to learn. Training sessions are something she genuinely enjoys, especially when food rewards are involved!
In new or unfamiliar settings, Emily can be a little reserved at first, but she adjusts quickly once she feels safe and supported. As her confidence grows, her affectionate and engaging personality really shines through.
Emily would be best suited as the only pet in the home. She is most comfortable without the presence of other animals and will thrive in an environment where she can relax without needing to share her space. She would be suitable for a home with respectful children.
A house with a secure yard would be ideal, giving her room to stretch out and decompress. She is still building confidence with stairs and is progressing steadily, but a home with minimal stairs — or a patient approach while she continues learning — would be beneficial.
Initially, Emily would do best in a home where someone is around most of the time, with only short periods of alone time as she transitions. With routine and consistency, her independence can continue to develop.
Emily is a clever, affectionate girl who is well on her way to becoming a wonderful companion. In the right home, she will reward her family with loyalty, warmth and steady progress.
