Beautiful 4-year-old black girl Lara is a sweet, gentle greyhound who is ready to find a loving home where she can relax, gain confidence and enjoy all the good things life has to offer.

Lara is a lovely girl on lead, walking calmly beside you without pulling. Once she has a chance to take in her surroundings, she enjoys having a little sniff, exploring and even showing off the occasional zoomie! She travelled well and was comfortable in her crate, making her a great companion for adventures.

When meeting new people, Lara can be quite timid. She may lick her lips or freeze when approached and is still learning that people can be trusted. She was able to be handled, but she will need a patient family who understands that confidence doesn't happen overnight. Giving her time, space and gentle encouragement will help her blossom.

She was very good with other greyhounds and seemed comfortable in their company. We weren't able to fully assess her with small dogs, as she preferred to head back towards the van rather than walk closer to them.

This gorgeous girl is looking for a calm, understanding home where she can take things at her own pace. She may be a little unsure of the world right now, but underneath that timid exterior is a sweet girl who is ready to learn that life with her very own family can be safe, happy and full of wonderful new experiences.
