Meet Mel 🐶

This beautiful girl can be a little bit shy to start with but warms up quickly. Her quiet and gentle nature is always shining through. She walks well on the lead, always happy to take a treat as well. Mel is the queen of zoomies! She would love a home where someone could throw a ball for her and a bit of space to stretch her legs. 

After burning her energy, Mel loves pats and cuddles and would make a fantastic inside diva dog! Once she has settled into her environments, her affectionate side really starts to show. Mel even has a cheeky side – known for stealing soft squeaky toy’s and taking them to her kennel! 

Mel is a country girl at heart, though – she has not been off farm much but used to louder noises etc. She would be very happy with larger dogs. She gets on very well with other Greyhounds and has even had some play dates with Great Danes and Maremma’s. Mel hasn’t met many small dogs, only in passing at the vet, so would require a slow introduction. She has had some interactions with cats as a pup but would require a slow, supervised introduction around them. She would be fine as an only dog if you’re mostly at home or takes her places or with another greyhound or a whippet. Mel would suit a home with older children. Around primary age, not small kids and have had a dog before. She loves being around her people and could even be a good assistance dog as she is used to being around wheelchairs.
