Salina is a beautiful senior girl with a gentle soul, a wagging tail and a heart that truly belongs to her people. At 12 years young, this lovely black greyhound has perfected the art of companionship and would much rather spend her time by your side than off exploring on her own. She has a quiet sweetness about her that makes you want to slow down, sit beside her and give her all the love she deserves. 🖤
Salina can be a little reserved when first saying hello, approaching at her own gentle pace. Once she knows you’re there for a cuddle and a chat, her affectionate nature shines through. She loves human company and is happiest when she can be close to the people around her. For Salina, the simple pleasure of having someone nearby is worth more than any grand adventure.
Having previously enjoyed life as a house dog, Salina already knows the comforts of home, including being house-trained. She is ready to enjoy those familiar little luxuries again: a cosy bed, a peaceful place to snooze and the reassuring presence of someone who loves her. Kennel life has been a big change for this home-loving girl, and she would dearly love to return to the comfort of living alongside her humans.
When it comes to getting out and about, Salina prefers a leisurely approach. She enjoys a little potter around the yard, but her favourite place is wherever the people are! Gentle strolls at her own pace and plenty of opportunities to stop and enjoy the moment would suit her beautifully. She is a lovely reminder that some of the best adventures are simply the ones shared together.
Salina has also been comfortable around other greyhounds nearby and has shown little interest in what they’re doing. She may be able to share her home with a suitable canine companion, provided introductions are made thoughtfully. She has not yet met small dogs or cats, so her compatibility with them is still to be discovered.
As an older lady, Salina deserves a little extra care and attention to keep her feeling her best.

Salina would be happiest in a loving home where human companionship is part of everyday life. An apartment or house could both suit her, provided she has a comfortable indoor space, a cosy bed and plenty of time with her favourite people. She doesn't need a big backyard full of activities to be content; a gentle potter outside followed by a relaxing afternoon beside you sounds much more her style.
She could be a wonderful match for someone who enjoys a quieter lifestyle and wants a devoted companion to share the little moments with. Whether you're reading on the couch, enjoying a peaceful morning or pottering around the house, Salina would love to be nearby. Her previous experience as a house dog and her house-training are lovely foundations for settling back into family life.
A home where she isn't left alone for long periods would be ideal, as companionship means so much to her. She may also suit a home with another compatible greyhound, while households with small dogs or cats would need to consider that her compatibility with these pets is not yet known.
Salina is also available for foster care! Opening your home to this sweet senior would give her the chance to enjoy the comforts she knows and loves while she waits for her forever family.
