At 4 years old, this lovely black boy has truly mastered the art of taking life easy. He’s relaxed, chilled out and wonderfully low-maintenance, with a calm nature that makes him a fantastic companion for a variety of homes. In fact, he’s so laid-back that he’s more like a cat than a dog!
Tommy is a big fan of the ladies and absolutely loves women. He can be a little cautious when meeting new men, but give him a moment to get comfortable and let him take things at his own pace. Once he’s settled, his friendly nature shines through.
He walks beautifully on lead, is completely relaxed in the car and crate, and takes new environments in his stride. No fuss, no drama — Tommy is all about keeping things cool and enjoying the simple pleasures in life.
Apartment or unit living? Absolutely! Tommy would be well suited to unit life, making him a great option for someone looking for a calm companion without the need for a huge backyard. He currently lives happily in a residential backyard with other greyhounds and is friendly with his larger canine companions.
Tommy is friendly with other dogs, although introductions to smaller dogs should be managed thoughtfully. He sees small dogs regularly in his neighbourhood, so there’s plenty of opportunity to continue building those positive experiences.
What about cats? There’s potential! Tommy regularly encounters local cats and tends to ignore them, which is a promising sign. Careful introductions and appropriate management would still be essential to help everyone stay safe and comfortable.
