🐾 Meet Utah (Turned Up Late) 🐾
Utah is a sweet, clever and affectionate girl who has really blossomed in foster care. She is a lovely companion who enjoys the simple things in life — a comfy bed, a sunny spot, a good walk, tasty treats and spending time with her people.
She is intelligent, eager to please and loves learning, especially when treats are involved! Utah knows a range of commands, happily heads to her bed when asked, travels beautifully in the car and is fully toilet trained.
Utah has settled wonderfully into home life and has shown herself to be a very adaptable girl. She is happy spending time in the yard while her family works and doesn't need someone home with her all day. She is equally happy to enjoy some quality time with her people when they are home.
At night, Utah is very happy to settle into her bed and sleep soundly wherever her bed happens to be. She has a lovely balance of enjoying her walks and adventures, then relaxing and having a good snooze.

Walking
Utah is a fantastic walking companion. She has lovely lead manners and is happy walking alongside her person without pulling. She generally trots along beautifully, with the occasional sniff or interesting spot worth investigating!
One or two walks a day has been plenty to keep Utah happy and content. She is also very comfortable passing other dogs while out and about.
Utah enjoys her walks best when she can explore safely alongside her person, so her adventures are best enjoyed on lead or in securely fenced areas.
Food & Treats
Utah absolutely LOVES food! ❤️
She is wonderfully food motivated, which makes training and learning new things lots of fun. She takes treats beautifully and very gently.
She is an enthusiastic dinner-time girl and can get very excited when she knows a meal is coming! She does enjoy her dinner with plenty of enthusiasm, so her foster family has found that a slightly raised bowl helps her take her time and enjoy her meal comfortably.
Utah is happy to wait for dinner, although she may occasionally let you know just how excited she is that mealtime has arrived!
Utah with Adults
Utah is a real people lover. She can take a little time to get to know someone new, but once she feels comfortable, her affectionate personality really shines through.
With her people, she is a total cuddle bug who loves being part of the family.
Utah has a wonderfully enthusiastic personality and can get particularly excited when her favourite people arrive home or when something fun is happening. She is continuing to learn that calm greetings are the way to go.
Utah with Children
Utah is a happy, affectionate girl who can get wonderfully excited around little people. She would be best suited to a home with older, dog-savvy children who can enjoy her loving and enthusiastic personality.
Utah with Other Dogs
Utah has been living happily alongside a four-year-old female German Shepherd during her six weeks in foster care.
She is comfortable sharing her home with another dog and is happy to relax alongside her canine companion. While she isn't particularly interested in energetic play, she enjoys having a calm dog around and has shown that she can coexist very nicely with a canine friend.
We think she could enjoy living with a medium-to-large, calm dog with a similar energy level, following a thoughtful introduction.
Utah could also be very happy as the only dog in the home, where she can enjoy all the attention from her family.
She would be best suited to a home without cats or very small animals, allowing her to enjoy her home life and outdoor adventures safely and comfortably.
Settling into Home Life
Utah has made wonderful progress during her time in foster care. She has shown that once she feels comfortable in her surroundings, she settles beautifully into a home routine.
She is happy relaxing in the yard while her family works and knows how to settle on her bed when it's time to wind down.
Utah sleeps soundly through the night, is toilet trained and travels wonderfully in the car. She is comfortable with the routines of everyday family life and enjoys having a cosy bed where she can relax and recharge.
Utah's Perfect Home ❤️
Utah would love a family who will enjoy her sweet, affectionate nature and continue building on all the wonderful things she has already learned. She'll thrive with people who enjoy walks, positive training and plenty of quality time together.
She would suit a variety of lifestyles and would be happy as the only dog or alongside a calm, medium-to-large canine companion. A home with older, dog-savvy children would suit her beautifully.
Above all, Utah is looking for a family who will appreciate her clever, loving personality and give her the chance to continue blossoming into the wonderful companion she is becoming.
Utah is a gorgeous girl with a lovely balance of affection, enthusiasm and calm. She enjoys her adventures, loves being with her people and is equally happy settling down for a cosy snooze afterwards. Once she gets to know you, she has plenty of love to give and would make a wonderful addition to the right family. 💕
