Vaughn is an incredibly intelligent boy who loves to learn. He thrives on training and is always eager to master new tricks, making him a rewarding companion for someone who enjoys working with a clever dog.
Because Vaughn is so bright, he can sometimes overthink situations and look to his people for reassurance and encouragement. With gentle guidance and positive support, he continues to grow in confidence every day. He is currently learning to settle calmly on his bed and is making great progress becoming more comfortable getting into the car.
Vaughn is looking for an experienced, adult-only home with no children or other pets, where his needs will be understood. He would do best in a calm environment with consistent routines, as predictability helps him feel safe and confident.
A secure yard where he can relax, explore, and enjoy time outdoors is important for Vaughn. To help him settle into his new home, he would also benefit from someone being home more often than not during the early stages of adoption. Once he has built a strong bond and settled into a routine, he is likely to become more independent.
His ideal adopter will be patient, committed, and willing to continue building his confidence through positive reinforcement and structured training. In return, Vaughn will reward you with his intelligence, loyalty, and the joy of watching him grow into a confident and devoted companion.
