“Jak is a very gentle soul, who takes all food and treats very gently, he takes some time to warm to people, but with quiet, calm natured people, he’ll adjust within 2-3 weeks.
He loves treats and pigs ears and also peanut butter mixed with kibble and stuffed in a toilet roll with the ends folded up (cheap treat).
JakJak prefers head, ear and neck scratches/pats and a back scratch or tummy rub. When he’s needing some love, he’ll lean on you for the pats and try to prevent you walking past, just so he can soak up some attention.
He’s exceptional with toileting and will try to wake you with a whine or playing with a toy in the middle of the night if he urgently needs to go out, otherwise he’ll stay in bed for most of the day.
In suburbia, he prefers being left inside as the backyard can be a bit scary with noises in the neighbourhood. Walking out on a quiet street is fine, but may require crossing road or about turns if he sees people or hears big dogs barking
All in all, while Jak is a big scaredy cat, given a bit of time, he does adjust to new people if they’re calm and affectionate to him”
