Jessy has been settling in really well and is slowly becoming more confident each day. She can happily be left alone for around 5 hours and is always calm and happy when we get home. She seems to enjoy having some quiet time to sleep.

She is very relaxed around other dogs and is happy to let them come over and sniff her, although she doesn’t seem particularly interested in them. She hasn’t had any contact with children yet.

We’ve noticed Jessy coming to us more and more for cuddles and play, and she’s wagging her tail lots. She’s also slowly getting more comfortable when out and about. She’s very happy in our apartment, although some outdoor space would be lovely but isn’t essential. We think she’d suit a calm, loving home with people who enjoy spending time at home, lots of cuddles, and are happy to let her take things at her own pace.

Jessy is a beautiful, gentle greyhound with a quiet and caring nature. She is the type of dog who takes her time getting to know the world around her and forms lovely bonds with the people she meets.

Jessy enjoys spending time with people and has a wonderfully polite way of asking for attention. She is soft, affectionate and happy to interact, while also showing a lovely ability to simply relax and enjoy her own company.

When visiting new places, Jessy loves to explore and investigate everything at her own pace. She enjoys having a good sniff around and taking in all the new sights and smells. In busy or unfamiliar environments, she may look to her person for reassurance, making her a great match for someone who enjoys helping a sensitive dog build confidence and settle into new experiences.

Jessy has shown some lovely social skills with other dogs. She has been gentle and polite when meeting smaller dogs at the adoption centre. She is not a dog who rushes into interactions and prefers to take things at a comfortable pace, so any future canine friendships would benefit from a relaxed introduction to make sure everyone feels comfortable.

Jessy would love a calm and loving home where she can continue to grow in confidence and enjoy the simple pleasures of greyhound life — comfy beds, gentle walks, sniffing adventures and spending time with her people. A home with a calm routine, and ability to help her settle in, is best.
