Rex is a people-loving greyhound who thrives on attention and connection. If you’re looking for a companion who enjoys being part of your day and happily soaks up affection, Rex will be right by your side. He’s highly motivated by food, which makes him responsive and engaged, and he settles beautifully in his crate when it’s time to relax. While toys aren’t really his thing, human company certainly is.

Rex has socialised well with other greyhounds and could share his home with a compatible medium to large canine friend, though he would be just as happy as the only dog. He would be suitable for a family with respectful children and has shown a calm and affectionate nature in his interactions with people.

Rex has demonstrated that he settles best indoors and enjoys the comfort of home life. A townhouse with at least a small courtyard would be ideal, giving him a bit of outdoor space to stretch his legs and unwind. 

Initially, Rex may be best suited to a home where he has someone home more often than not, while he adjusts, but he has shown an encouraging ability to self-settle. With gradual progression and routine, his capacity can continue to build.
