Ruby is a bright, energetic greyhound who absolutely loves her people and thrives on attention, food, and activity. She’s very affectionate and enjoys being involved in whatever’s going on around her.

She walks well on lead most of the time and listens to cues, especially when you keep things calm and purposeful. At times she can get a bit strong on the lead if she’s frustrated about where she wants to go, but she does respond and is generally very manageable with consistent handling.

Ruby is very food motivated and loves enrichment games and puzzle-style activities. She’s clever, confident, and enjoys figuring things out, especially if there’s food involved.

She does have a busy, high-energy nature and can get overstimulated if there’s too much going on. Because of this, she’ll do best in a home that can give her a good balance of exercise, structure, and downtime.

Being on her own is still something she’s learning. She settles best when she has something to keep her occupied, and will need continued support building confidence with alone time.

With other dogs, Ruby prefers her own space and doesn’t tend to actively seek them out.

Ruby will suit an active home who enjoy being involved with their dog, doing fun training games, and giving her both structure and affection. In the right home, she’ll be a really fun, loving companion who brings a lot of personality.
