Our sweet Melman seems to have come down with something… or so he thinks... That’s right, poor Melman is love sick! There’s only one cure for his illness and that’s a loving home where he can be spoilt for the rest of his life! 

Of course the gorgeous Melman isn’t really sick, but he’ll be sure to give you those puppy dog eyes to get what he wants! All Melman wants from his home is a comfy bed to lie on, lots of pats when he wants them and a never ending supply of toys! Is that too much to ask?! Melman is currently living in a foster home and learning the way of the world. He walks nicely on the lead and is polite to the other dogs he has met on his walks. He would be suitable to living in a home with another large breed dog. Melman is happy to be left on his own for a few hours at a time and would love a backyard to relax in while his family is away. A home with older children who can be respectful of his space and possessions would be okay as well. Melman loves to play with toys and can be seen throwing them about on his own in the yard! He is a very loving, happy boy who can’t wait to be adopted! Will you be the one to take him home?

Mandy would prefer a home where her family are around more often than not. However, if she goes home with a canine pal, she would be suitable for full time workers. She could also suit a home with older children, provided they are respectful of her space.

Come and meet our sweet, calm natured and happy hound, Shevez. He is a sucker for an ear scratch and will have you wrapped around his paws in no time.

Shevez is a laid back kind of dude and is good at keeping himself occupied, so if you work part time or are shift worker then he will fit right in. He is a very affectionate and playful boy and will do almost anything for that sweet spot scratched or to play with his toys. Shevez is the best of both worlds kind of guy, he will love nothing more than to zoom around in his soon to be new backyard, but don’t worry, as soon as he has got his zoomies out or finished his daily walk, he will find the sunniest/comfiest spot to curl up in and sleep the day away. He is also a great pairer here at GAP, so if you have a calm medium – large canine friend then he would love to meet them, this will even help him settle much easier if you are a full time worker. Shevez is a perfect walker on the lead too so you can all enjoy a nice controlled walk together.

Bandicoot is a very sweet and loving boy. He can settle on his own for full time hours in a backyard and would be suitable for full time workers in a quiet suburb. Bandicoot would love to spend his day in the backyard foraging for treats and toys. Once his family is home however he would love nothing more than curling up on his bed inside to enjoy family time. Bandicoot has gotten along well with the other greyhounds he has met and would be happy to share his home with another large breed dog pending a successful meet and greet. Bandicoot loves to go for walks and generally walks nicely on the lead. This sweet boy will have you scurrying over to Londonderry to meet him ASAP!

High in the tree tops of Londonderry lives a very special greyhound. With his long, curly tail and sleek coat Ringtail is a boy like no other! You might have to coax him out of his warm nest but he’ll come running and jumping for joy once he sees you! 

Say “hello possum” to this beautiful boy named Ringtail. A very affectionate and loving boy, he cannot wait to join his forever family! If Ringtail was to be the only child he would need his human family around for most of the day as he’s not a fan of being on his own. If Ringtail were to have another large breed companion however he would be happy to be away from his human companions for most of the day. As long as he has company he is happy! Ringtail absolutely loves toys! He is often caught throwing them about to himself in his grass run and loves to play fetch (well, if he decides to bring the toy back of course…) Ringtail can be quite strong when walking on the lead so an adopter capable of walking a large breed dog is a must. Ringtail would love a backyard to spend the day in but is also happy to curl up on his bed inside the house with you when you’re at home.

While he may be an older gentleman, Cleveland still has a zest for life like no other! When he first sees you of a morning Cleveland likes to do his tap dancing routine! He also puts on this special performance when he's waiting for you to clip his lead for a walk. Cleveland loves to go for walks! He can be strong on the lead at first but is happy to be guided by you in the direction you want to walk. Of an afternoon Cleveland and his GAP handler like to go down to the bushy track behind us and watch the birds and trees. Cleveland would make the perfect companion for someone wanting an only dog. He doesn't like to share the attention and is much happier being the only child. Cleveland would prefer a home without children but instead a couple or even a single person. He can settle on his own for a few hours at a time but would prefer not to be left alone all day. A backyard where he can explore, sunbake and play with toys is a must while you're not at home. Cleveland has a lot of love to give and cannot wait to find his forever home!

Come and meet our sweet and playful boy Gecko, he is looking for somewhere he can call his forever home and for someone that he can call his own.

Gecko is a sweet and affectionate boy who loves nothing more than to play with his toys and follow his favourite human around. His best suited home would be with someone who is home most of the time, so if you work/study from home or work part time/casual hours then he’s the hound for you. Gecko can be an active boy and will prefer to have a nice backyard so he can get his zoomies out and chase his toys around, but don’t worry after he has finished playing he will find the comfiest/sunniest spot to sleep the rest of the day away. Gecko knows how to play well with other hounds here at GAP, however he will prefer to have his toys and backyard all to himself, but he would love to go on social walks and adventures with other dogs his size. He has ears that will light up your life and a personality that will light up your heart.

Hi I’m Charlie, I’m sweet I’m gentle and I am on the hunt to find my forever home.

I am an affectionate boy who loves being around my people and finding that perfect spot to curl up in and sleep the day away. I’m an all-round kid of dude who is good at occupying myself when you’re away, so if you work full time hours or are a shift worker then I would be more than happy to sleep the day away and be at the door with my wagging tail waiting for you to get home, I even love being indoors as I have experience in the home already. Even though I’m calm hound, I still enjoy playing with my toys and to have a quick zoom around a nice grassed back yard/courtyard. I love my treats too, so this will help me if you want to teach me any new tricks that you might want me to learn. Here at GAP I play well with the other hounds, so if you have a medium – large canine friend for me to play with then I would love to meet them. I have even been told by my handler that I am exceptional walker on lead too.

Smudge is an affectionate and playful hound who is on the lookout for a family and home he can call his own. His best suited home will be with someone who is around more often than not, so if you work part time/casual hours or are a shift worker then he is the boy for you. He loves playing with his toys and having a quick zoom around a nice grassy backyard, but don’t worry once he has gotten his zoomies out then he will happily find a comfy spot to sleep the rest of the day away. He is a great play mate here are at GAP, so if you have a medium – large tolerant canine friend for him to play with then he would love to meet them, this will even help him settle for longer if you are a full time worker. He loves being out and about and going on adventures, so I promise he will walk perfectly on lead for you when you are out exploring new places.
