Hello! I'm Bowie. If you're after a laid back older companion - I am your man!
At 7 years old, I have only ever lived rural so the move into a home will be a big adjustment for me. I'm just looking for a family that are happy to be patient with me, and guide me through it.
If you’re fascinated by the Italian Renaissance and the art culture it inspired – Then call her lisa del giocondo and whip out your brushes because our Lisa, is a work of art!
Lovely Lisa is a seasoned pet extraordinaire – Having spent almost a year living in a home previously, Lisa is quite well accustomed to an indoor lifestyle and knows just what she deserves!
Hi My names Prince!
I am looking for my forever couch! I would love to be your one and only fur baby! I am a refined gentleman and am looking for someone who wants to lavish attention on me, and provide me with a lovely back yard to sunbathe in and where you can bring me snacks.
An update from foster care!
"Winksey is a great character to add to any household.
Flossy is in foster care learning how to be a pet! Foster update:
"Flossy is doing fantastic. She seems quite settled, mostly relaxing on her bed or exploring her new yard. She has learnt to go up & down the two stairs out the back so she’s a fast learner. She likes to sit with us or see what we are up to & then generally lay on her mat. She’s done a few zoomies around the backyard & a short walk around the block, she was curious about the new sounds & smells but very calm on Leash. She hasn’t been left alone yet but is unfazed if we are in another part of the house."
Hi, I'm Genie. I shall grant you 3 wishes!.... As long as they are as follows:
1. You wish to adopt me!
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! That’s the sound your heart will make when you meet the love of your life, Boomer! Boomer has spent a couple of months in foster care and now that he has mastered many aspects of pet life, he is ready for his forever home.
At 6-years-old, Boomer is a relaxed and quiet boy who would make a great companion for those who want a low maintenance pet. Although Boomer doesn’t mind a short walk, he’s not big on grand adventures or playing with toys, instead he prefers to nap in the sun or snuggle up with his humans suiting homebodies. Boomer is very gentle with people and never pulls on the lead or jumps on you – he just politely nuzzles into you asking for a scratch behind the ears! Boomer doesn’t mind spending a few hours alone during the day provided you live in a nice, quiet neighbourhood and would suit those who work part-time or causal hours. Boomer loves being indoors and is very well behaved in the house and although he would prefer to have a yard to retreat to when he needs to, he doesn’t mind if it is on the smaller side. Boomer prefers people over other dogs and will need a home where he is the only pet of the family so he can take all the love and affection for himself.
Don't let the grey muzzle fool you! Miss Ruby is anything but old and in fact has a zest for life that rivals any young pup. Ruby spends her days doing laps around her farm carrying her beloved squeaky bone toy then celebrates her victory runs with a lovely roll in the lush grass.
Rubee would be perfect for the person who doesn't want the young hound however would love the young at heart that thinks they are young, burns a bit of steam off then crashes out to get over it. She would be perfect for the retired person who is after company but not after someone in their pocket all day.
You'll never be bored with Sammi by your side. She's a cool, calm and confident 8 year old girl who loves to explore new places or just hang out at home--you could even take her for an afternoon walk if you wanted to - or not.
Equally as happy hanging on a snuggly bed in the sun, or watching you (over your shoulder of course) garden with her giving direction, Sammi will just go with the flow with a bounce in her step and a smile on her dial.
Don't let the grey look fool you, as they say age is only a number! Dale may be 7yrs old but he is just as spritely as in his prime. He loves to run around the yard and play. Enjoys following his companions around the yard and exploring what life has to give. Once he has had his exercise he loves to just laze around in the sun and enjoy life. If you are after an older companion that has lots of life still to live apply and organise a meet!
*I am in foster care! Stay tuned for updates*
A big, loveable goof with a heart of gold, that’s how we would describe Sturgis!
Surround your heart with the sounds of love! Contrary to his name, 8-year-old Subwoofa is a very gentle and quiet boy – you might say he is on low volume!
For the last couple of months, Subwoofa has been rocking out in foster care with a Great Dane foster brother to show him the ropes of pet life! Affectionately nicknamed ‘Subby’ in foster care, this handsome boy has learned a lot about pet life and we feel he is now ready to find his forever home. Subby’s foster carer has found that he loves being indoors and is known to snooze the day away on his bed and is also crate trained too. He loves his food and although he definitely has an affectionate side, we have found that he is generally just a super relaxed boy who just loves to chill out on his bed or in the sun making him a low maintenance pet (or ‘couch ornament’ as we like to call it!). Subby is also toilet trained, great with sharing his space with another dog and sleeps well through the night.
*Chalkie recently went into foster care. updates coming soon!*
Alright, alright. Settle down everybody. Class is in session so take a seat and look at the blackboard. We will now prove the formula for true love using our Chalkie!
*Popeye has just gone into foster care in an apartment! Updates coming soon*
Ahoy there! Popeye here, looking for a cruisey family to call my own.
Hi I’m Benjamin and I am super excited to start my next chapter, could that be with you? I've spent some time in foster care with my foster family and I've learnt so much! I'm super ready to be your pet!
I am a very lovable boy who just loves being around people, my best suited home would be with someone that is at home most of the time as sometimes it can take a little bit for me to settle. If you work casual hours, part time or work at home, I'm your guy! If you have another medium/large doggy friend then I am much happier to be to be left with a canine companion - I would suit full time workers if you have another doggie for me to hang out with during the day. I can be a bit excitable at times so a home with older kids is best as I’m just not used to my size yet.
Meet the friendly and handsome Flanders! This long boi has legs for days and a quirky overbite that just adds to his good looks. Flanders is a very affectionate and loving boy whose favourite thing to do is put both front legs over you so that you can give him cuddles. Flanders would benefit from being in a home with a backyard where he can stretch those long legs, do zoomies and fetch his toys. He would prefer it if his family were home for most of the day so he can spend as much time with you as possible! Flanders likes to be the centre of attention and would prefer to be an only dog. He is happy to meet other dogs on his walks but living with one would take the spotlight away from him and he just couldn’t have that! Flanders will be your new best mate and how lucky you’ll be to have this gorgeous boy in your life.
Handsome fawn lad Crash is looking for a new place to call home! This 3-year-old fella is still a puppy a heart and wants some humans who will enjoy his goofy playful side as well as his affectionate and cuddly nature.
Crash adores his humans and is hoping for a home where he will not be left alone for long hours during the day, however if you do need to step out for work, a walk (or big game in the back yard) before you head off will make his heart sing. He also loves the company of other medium/large dogs if you had one already at home to hang out with. Older kids would enjoy his playful nature, if they are able to give him space when he needs a break. Crash would happily join you on a daily stroll through the neighborhood, impressing everyone with his lovely lead manners. Currently on a farm, he is also livestock friendly and spends his days walking with his kelpie mates amongst the Alpaca's (on lead of course) .
Parkie has spent a few months in foster care and is more than ready to be your new best friend! Parkie is a true family man - great with kids, other greyhounds and has been exposed to lots of the big wide world in foster.
Parkie would love to be the favourite member of your family. He is pretty sure he is FAMOUS and that the world revolves around him. He is exuberant, charming and handsome with a cheeky personality. He has become resilient during his time in foster care and would love to show you all the things he has learnt from his time in foster. Here are some message from his foster carers:
Introducing REX, the handsome, gentle giant. Rex at just 3 years old acts like a mature, sophisticated gentle man and his young age could easily take you buy surprise. Although Rex hasn’t been at our facility too long he has settled in like a dream. Speaking of dreams… Rex dreams of a home where he can have a backyard to engage in midday snoozes, random zoomies and a paddle in his clam pool.
He wouldn’t mind if his new family are full-time workers as he enjoys his own company, although no dog has ever said no to their owner being home all day either. Due to Rex’s previous exposure to children he also wouldn’t mind a home with children as long as they are respectful of his space when he needs. Rex is a social boy, although a proper introduction to a canine friend of the medium to large size would be essential. Rex has just recently gone into a foster home in the Newcastle area, stay tuned for updates!
Calling all Cinderellas, Belles, Snow Whites and Jasmines - Your Prince is here! 3.5 year old Prince is a perfect gentleman! Seriously... And he's looking for his happily ever after, fairy-tale ending.
Prince has previously lived in a home where he was a much adored and spoilt pet, but now he is on the hunt for a new home with his glass slipper, by no fault of his own. He is quite accustomed to sleeping on beds, hanging out inside or in the yard and generally just being, well, a Prince.
Wham, Bam, thank you Pam!! This is what you will be saying each day when you take his black beauty into your life.
Pam, the stealer of hearts is looking for a home where her new family can be there for her more often than not.
Are you hungry for your next best friend?
Is that hunger larger than what a small Happy Meal can satisfy?
Is your family calm and quiet but full of love? Kids have grown up a bit and you’re looking for a new family member to take care of while they’re at school and you’re home from work?
Well meet Hunter. This dashing 4 year old boy is quite the head turner; a marvel to look at just as he is to spend time with! Hunter is a very easy going guy and will fit really easily into a family with older children and full-time workers.
Tired of navigating the turbulent waters and dangerous currents of life? Not to worry – Bondi is here to rescue you! Just as stunning and fun as the world famous beach, 4-year-old Bondi will make all your worries melt away like an ice-cream on the hot sand.
Bondi is a very happy-go-lucky dude who loves his walks and plays just as much as his snoozes in the sun. He loves spending time in our office here at GAP HQ and quickly flops himself down on the floor and settles in for a nap. He's also grey-t on lead and very easy to walk in quiet areas, just bring snacks! Bondi prefers to have company during his hot summer days and would suit a part-time or full-time worker. He would be happy to have a medium/large canine friend or to be an only dog. As we said, happy-go-lucky, easy fella. Bondi may also fit right into a home with older children.
Oh my hold onto your hats as the most amazing dude possible. No blurb needed.....this is what we know about him
Money Money Money!! Always sunny. In a rich man’s world!
This little money girl will be sure to brighten up your day! This sweet girl is still adjusting to life as a pet but has come in leaps and bounds since being in our care. She has learnt to walk on leash and is doing exceptionally well at remaining calm and walking on a loose lead.
Also known for being Batman’s butler Mr. Alfred aims to please his master and provide comic relief to his pawrents. At 10 years old our Mr. Alfred is looking for a place to call his own. Alfred is quite the gentleman and enjoys nothing more than spending time with his humans or doggy pals. He has exceptional leash manners and enjoys a few short daily strolls, nothing to strenuous due to his older age.
Alfred has shown good manners with others dogs big and small so he wouldn’t mind sharing his home with canine companion; in fact he really enjoys having a pal to keep him company. Due to his laid back personality he would be ok to share his home with children as long as he can have a space to call his own. Alfred really prefers having his humans around to lap up all the attention, so a home with owners home more often than not would be ideal; if there was not a canine companion.
Take me down to Western Sydney, where the grass is green and the dogs are pretty… oh won’t you please take Axle home!
Meet Axle- this rockstar of a dog is ready to be the next big hit in your life! Axle is a sweet and friendly boy who enjoys the company of humans. He settles very well on his own and would suit full-time workers so long as he has some enrichment to keep him entertained during the day. He likes to play with toys and will do absolutely anything for a treat! Axle enjoys crashing on his own bed inside the house however will need the option of spending time outside too so would suit a home with some outdoor space. Being the lead singer, Axle prefers to do things on his own and would suit a home where he will be the only pet. Axle can be quite excitable so would be suitable for a family with older children only. Axle LOVES going for walks and will let you know when he’s feeling like one! Once he gets over his initial excitement about going for a stroll he calms down into a nice walk and walks on a loose leash.
Meet Hugh the hunk! Not only is he the Fabio of the greyhound community with his stunning good looks, he has the most wonderful nature. Friendly and affectionate, he enjoys one on one time with his peeps so best suited to solo doggo living.
He does have one little issue where he can pull on the lead when walking but this can be easily resolved with some patience and work from you and after that is sorted you will have the perfect pal to share your days with. For this reason we are looking for an experienced large dog home that has the ability to work with this as he is a big lad.
Looking for something a bit different to sweeten up in your home? You know the sort that is a bit like a licorice all-sort which has a bit of everything but has that unique taste? Then Candy may be exactly what you're looking for. She is young at only 2, tiny at 24kg, bright and bubbly but also has the perfect off button when needed as well.
Being young she has a zest for life and would be the perfect wing gal for a family with respectful kids over the age of 8 to share many adventures with and we can confirm she is the BEST keeper of little girl secrets and dreams.
“Genius is 1% inspiration and 99% paw-spiration!” – Greyhound Eddison.
4yo Eddison is somewhat of a famous inventor himself. He swears he invented the “puppy dog eyes”, and has a patent pending on his floppy ear design.
If you’re in need of a noble knight to rule over your personal Camelot, then look no further than GAP’s very own King Arthur!
Unlike the legendary hero, this Arthur would very much prefer to be in a single dog household without his knights of the round table - Not to worry, he has enough personality to make up a kingdom! Arthur's interactions with other dogs are preferred brief and cordial, though he expects quite the contrary from his royal human court. Arthur LOVES people and very much enjoys both play time and quiet time together. He enjoys social walks with other greyhounds around the lands and has been known to have everyone in stitches with his gardening skills.
*Zavier’s “Plenty-of-Greys” profile*
Age: 3 but pretends he’s 8.
Are you looking for a calm and loving furry companion to brighten your days? Our sweet Shae may just be your girl!
This friendly and affectionate girl is the perfect mix of relaxed and fun. She enjoys spending time in her backyard with lots of treats but loves to spend time with her owners and would suit people who work from home or retirees who will be home more often than not. She loves to go for a walk and has excellent leash manners. Shae can take a little bit of time to warm up to new people so would suit a home with older respectful children and in a quieter suburb. Shae gets along well with other dogs and would be happy to share a backyard with other large dogs. Shae is a big fan of toys and doing zoomies in the backyard so would love to have some space to run around in.
Look into my smexy eyes and tell me you don't want to look at my divine ears every minute of every day…. Because that is what you will do with our love bug Deigo. This dude loves company so is ideal for a middle ages retired couple or casual workers looking for someone to share their home with.
He is pretty lazy, walks lovely on the lead and is perfect to live on his own - with you :) He has not been tested with other dogs however pays no interest to them when on a walk out and about and with this in mind we think a home as the only dog is the way to go for him.
Zeus craves human companionship. As is his namesake was then protector of humankind Zeus will love and protect his family. He would benefit from daily walks and lots of interactive games. Zeus would be ideally suited to another large breed dog or greyhound as a friend, preferably female.
If you can offer Zeus a family to protect please contact us.
My name might be Rebel but I am no rebel without a cause. My main aim in life is to find a family to please. I am very quiet, clean, and would make an excellent housemate (you pay the rent of course).
Beautiful Dora, 4 1/2, is looking for a forever home.
Needs a fenced garden for zoomies and play, a short daily walk, no cats or small dogs, preferably no stairs, although she's fine with outside steps, and people to love her. Her doting parents would preferably not be out at work all day. Dora would enjoy life with another calm mid to large size dog. Dora knows a range of commands now: her name, come, wait, out, no, fetch, give, on your bed. She's fully toilet trained, usually waits to be invited onto the bed in the morning, is not destructive, is quiet around the house, except for a few daily bursts of toy chasing and general joy of living. She will need a little more training to ignore small dogs on her walks. Dora is ready for the forever life she deserves.
